How Skills Work#
Every hero has up to four skills. Each has a type, a level out of a cap (shown in-game as Lv 10/20), and a numeric effect — a damage factor for attack skills, or a percentage/flat magnitude for buff skills.
Skill types#
| Type | What it does |
|---|---|
| Passive | A "Normal Attack Boost" — raises the hero's normal-attack damage factor. |
| Active | A triggered ability (a strike, summon, or blast) with its own damage factor. |
| Global | A troop- or base-wide effect that applies while the hero leads a troop or is deployed — boosting a troop type's HP, a building's training speed, and the like. |
| Exclusive talent | A faction-synergy skill unlocked at 4★. It has a single level, so it doesn't scale. |
Stars unlock and raise skills#
A hero's star level (0–5, raised by consuming duplicates) drives their skills two ways:
- Unlocks — stars open up skills as they rise: a second active at 1★, the exclusive faction talent at 4★, and maximum stats at 5★.
- Level ceiling — the level a skill can be raised to is gated by star level, and more stars raise that ceiling. So the same skill reaches a higher value as the hero gains stars; a skill's listed maximum is only reachable once the hero has the stars for it.
Star bonuses#
Beyond raising a skill's level, individual stars add discrete star bonuses on top — for example a few extra points of damage factor per star. These stack with the level-based value.
Reading the numbers on this wiki#
Because skill values rise with level (and level is gated by stars), the figures on hero pages are captures at a point in time, not a fixed floor or ceiling. Where both ends are known, a page shows the range (e.g. 900 at Lv1 → 1,500 at the cap); otherwise it shows the captured value and notes the level. More values fill in as they're recorded.
