Privacy Policy#

This Privacy Policy explains what data the Last Z Powiki and Ask the Guru AI coach (the "Service") collect, why, and how we handle it.
What we collect#
When you use Ask the Guru:
- Chat messages — what you ask, and what the AI responds with
- Technical metadata — your IP address (for rate limiting and abuse prevention), your user agent, and the timestamp of each request
- Session identifier — a random ID stored in a cookie that lets us track your free-turn quota for the session (anonymous; not tied to your identity)
- Account email — only if you choose to sign in for a higher free-turn cap. We do not currently require accounts.
We do not collect: real names, phone numbers, payment information, location beyond what's inferred from your IP, or anything you don't directly provide.
The static wiki pages (heroes, buildings, mechanics, etc.) do not collect personal data. We use Amplify's standard request logs for site analytics; these contain IP addresses but no personally identifying information.
Why we collect it#
- To provide the Service — chat messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses; we cannot reply without seeing your message
- To monitor quality and safety — we may review chat transcripts to debug problems, evaluate response quality, and detect abuse
- To enforce rate limits — IP + session ID let us enforce per-session and per-week free-turn caps
- To respond to legal requests — if required by law
Who has access#
- The site operator — has access to chat logs and technical metadata stored on our servers
- Anthropic (Claude API) — processes your chat messages to generate AI responses. Anthropic's privacy practices: https://www.anthropic.com/privacy
- OpenAI (embeddings API) — receives a short embedding of your query at retrieval time. OpenAI's privacy practices: https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy
- Amazon Web Services — hosts the wiki (Amplify) and the AI coach backend (Lightsail). AWS may access stored data under its standard service agreements.
We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or marketing partners.
How long we keep it#
- Chat logs: retained for 90 days, after which they are deleted from our systems. Anthropic's retention is governed by their own policies.
- Session cookies: expire after 30 days
- Account data (if you sign in): retained until you request deletion
Your rights#
You can request to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Delete your chat history and any account data
- Correct any account information
To exercise these rights, email support@powra.ai. We aim to respond within 30 days.
If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
Cookies#
We use a minimal set of cookies:
- A session cookie containing a random ID, to track free-turn quota
- An auth cookie (signed JWT) — only set if you sign in
No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are set.
AI training#
We do not use your chats to train AI models. Anthropic and OpenAI process your messages under their respective API terms; per Anthropic's API policy, your data is not used to train their models by default.
Children's privacy#
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.
International users#
Our servers are located in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US.
Changes#
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
